Psychotherapy
Treatment to resolve deep-seated problems which often have originated in childhood. This may require several months to some years treatment.
Counselling
Help to change perceptions or feelings about particularly difficult
situations. This may require 6 months to a year of treatment.
Consultations
Consultations are by appointment. They are 50 minutes long and normally occur weekly. Appointments which are cancelled without 24 hours notice may be charged for.
Fees
My fees by negotiation per 50 minutes consultation.
If you are referred under an EAP or scheme, the full fee will be Covered.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
My working life began as a teacher, then having obtained a Diploma of Social Work (post-graduate) from Victoria University I was employed as a clinical social worker and counsellor in hospital and social services in Wellington and the Hutt Valley.
In 1995, I began hospital based training and professional development as a psychotherapist. In 1997 I established my own consultancy which has continued till today. I am a Registered Psychotherapist and a member of the New Zealand Association of Psychotherapists (NZAP).
I am bound by the ethical code of the NZAP and the professional requirements of the Psychotherapy Board of Aotearoa New Zealand, a body established by New Zealand legislation.
